😩 I tried Smule first, and that one has much better song selection. Also, you only get to record 2 SONGS before getting VIP. It’s not really enough for me to get to know and enjoy the app so I’ll actually want to buy it. The good part is that the VIP isn’t as expensive and ridiculous as the other apps. Maybe adds or something else as a way to get profit? I would definitely use this app a lot more if you could change that.

The problem with apps like these are that they promote singing and practice. But when everyone has to give money instead of their voice, it’s discouraging. I hope that this app and many others can realize this.

🙂 Developer Response. Way too many restrictions in the free version that one can’t tell if they’d even LIKE the VIP or what this app even has to offer. I don’t think most people like to hear themselves sounding like they’re singing into a pillow but this is the only vocal option a nonVIP’er has available to them. If I knew what I’d REALLY sound like in the free version (as Smule does) I’d be much more apt to like this app. Where is the prompting for duets?

How does one know when it’s their turn to sing? UI is hard to navigate but I’m hoping that gets better with time. Songs sound (far away) and not very clear and crisp as they do in other apps such as Smule. Thumbs up on many things, though. I like the bigger preview boxes of the songs and their singers. Many more sub categories available here, too. Ability to have the camera on or off on each song is handy, too, and toggle is easy to find.

Sometimes I don’t mind being on camera and sometimes not. Also, I didn’t see a single ad on my first run through which is great. I’d pay for the VIP but just what I’m getting I don’t know. Trial version? No, I shouldn’t have to.
